Austin Lewter, General Manager

Austin Lewter comes to the Jimplecute from Whitesboro where he was the editor of the Whitesboro News-Record, a weekly paper in Western Grayson County.

He and his wife Jennifer reside in rural Marion County and have four children: Jackson who will be three on Oct. 22; twins Isabella and Mackenzie who will be two in December; and Grace who is eight-weeks old.

Before being promoted to editor at the News-Record, Lewter worked as a staff writer there covering a sports beat that included four different high schools. He also worked at the Muenster Enterprise in Muenster, Texas as a graphic designer.

He has published stories in the Gainesville Daily Register (Texas), the Durant Daily Democrat (Oklahoma), the Herald-Democrat (Sherman, Texas) and Nite-Life Magazine (Sherman, Texas).

Prior to coming to Jefferson, Austin was the vice-president of the Whitesboro Rotary Club, a committee member of the Whitesboro Area Chamber of Commerce, an alderman on the Collinsville City Council and an active musician on the praise team of Crossroads Bible Church in Collinsville. Austin and Jennifer have also been involved with the Parent's Advisory Board of Medical City Hospital in Dallas.
